Welcome to the official site for the Waukesha BluesFest “An American Music and Art Festival”. Thanks for joining us at the 3rd Annual Waukesha BluesFest in 2009. It was a great time with great music even though we did have to dodge a few raindrops in between tents! We sure hope to see you again this year on August 13 and 14, 2010! The title of Waukesha BluesFest “An American Music and Art Festival” was chosen for the festival based on the vast popularity of the “Blues” music genre nationwide as well as the wide swath of American music which falls under the general umbrella of Blues. These include traditional and contemporary Blues, Rhythm and Blues (R&B), Soul, Gospel and Roots music, as well as Country and Rock and Roll influences. Since the debut of the festival we have been proud to present some great national acts including Booker T. and The MG’s, Mavis Staples, Shemekia Copeland, The Holmes Brothers, Ollabelle, Eddie Shaw, Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band featuring Bnois King, Patrick Sweany, Doyle Bramhall, Popa Chubby The Bel Airs, Bryan Lee, Tarbox Ramblers, Sonny Landreth, Gina Sicilia, Greg Koch, and Big James Montgomery.
