Welcome to the official site for the Waukesha BluesFest “An American Music and Art Festival”.

The 4th Annual Waukesha BluesFest will be held Friday and Saturday, August 13 and 14, 2010. We are excited to announce our headlining acts this year The Tommy Castro Band (Friday) and Chris Duarte Group (Saturday). Other major acts on the bill include Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio, Samuel James and Shane Dwight, plus many other great local and regional acts. Music runs from 1pm to 10:30pm each day with a total of 14 acts over the two day festival. The event takes place under a large tent providing a comfortable atmosphere for enjoyment of some fine “Blues” music.

The title of Waukesha BluesFest “An American Music and Art Festival” was chosen for the festival based on the vast popularity of the “Blues” music genre nationwide as well as the wide swath of American music which falls under the general umbrella of Blues. These include traditional and contemporary Blues, Rhythm and Blues (R&B), Soul, Gospel and Roots music, as well as Country and Rock and Roll influences.

Since the debut of the festival we have been proud to present some great national acts including Booker T. and The MG’s, Mavis Staples, Shemekia Copeland, The Holmes Brothers, Ollabelle, Eddie Shaw, Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band featuring Bnois King, Patrick Sweany, Doyle Bramhall, Popa Chubby The Bel Airs, Bryan Lee, Tarbox Ramblers, Sonny Landreth, Gina Sicilia, Greg Koch, and Big James Montgomery.
